Any drummers in the area looking to join a weird rock band? (startrek.website)

Like the title says, I'm looking for a drummer that wants to join a weird rock band. I can't say who our influences will be, because we don't know yet! I want this band to be completely original, musically diverse, but with a pop sensibility so we can still get gigs lol. I know Dallas is all about the metal scene, but I (and the other band members we already have) are opposed to this, so if you're a metal guy, please apply! Musical diversity is the name of the game here.

I'm a jazz/rock guy, our singer's an R&B guy from NYC, and we have a violinist who's classically trained but wants to venture into other avenues. We also need a bassist, because I want to play guitar for this project, but if we can't get anyone else then I guess I'll play bass FINE, ugh.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but, I need some help. I have an eighth grader at home who is very much into drums. He is in his middle school band in percussion. He has been asking me to buy a drum set to practice and play. Is there a used drum set stores in dfw where he can play and decide. Or shall i try Facebook marketplace?

I hope you get the drummer you're looking for.

No, that doesn't exist. Facebook marketplace is an okay place to find a cheap drum set, but you'd probably be better served trying Guitar Center, Sam Ash, or Brook Mays, especially if you don't know what you're looking for. Anything you find used online (especially drum sets) will be missing stuff, so it's better to buy a cheap new one, then upgrade later.
