Writing prompts for Harry Potter fan fiction

Community Rules:

1.) Prompts must be fanfiction related

Posts must be Harry Potter FanFiction Writing Prompts. Other types of posts related to Harry Potter Fanfic will be welcome in the main comm c/HPFanFiction

2.) No Hate Speech

No hateful speech or witch hunting. Language containing, but not limited to, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, racism, or anything else considered derogatory will not be tolerated.

3.) No Personal Attacks

No personal attacks or insults. Purposefully inciting arguments, personal attacks, and threats will not be tolerated.

4.) No Personal Information

Do not post personal information (ex. real names, emails, passwords). Be careful when sharing drafts of stories. Protect yourself.

5.) No Stealing Content

No stealing content. This includes AI-generated content of any kind.

6.) No Sexualization of Minors

No direct links to or discussion of sexual or suggestive content involving minors. Please note Lemmy's policy regarding this issue. We will comply with Lemmy's policy so as to protect our space here on this website. All violations of this rule will be removed and may result in a ban.

7.) No Bashing

Be respectful of other users' likes and preferences when posting. If a topic is not to your taste, use language that makes it clear it is your opinion while not attacking people. Bash Baiting "What made you DNF, what trope don't you like, etc." posts are also not allowed. In particular, remember Rules 2 and 3. This applies to all posts, including Discussions and Request Threads.

8.) Utilize Spoiler Tags

Use spoiler tags for major story events and/or trigger warnings. When discussing fanfiction, use your best judgment for spoilers and triggers. All comments must use the spoiler tag: >!Some spoiler!<. [We do not expect you to trigger for things like a fear of bugs, but for major story events like death, gore, and infidelity.]

9.) No Advertising

No advertising non-fanfics. This includes but is not limited to discords, merchandise, paid applications, paid promotions etc. HP Fanfiction related communities may be linked to as long as the content is not being spammed.

10.) No Politics

Do not discuss real-world politics of any former or current country. This includes political beliefs, actions, events, and other similar topics.

Harry is absolutely oblivious to how much Snape hates him. In fact, he's his favourite teacher. (self.hpfanfictionprompts)

Harry always considered professor Severus Snape as a "tough, but fair" type of teacher. He was disappointed that his friends couldn't see it and he always had to defend professor Snape's actions to them.

"Well, you shouldn't have spoken out of turn, Hermione!" Harry said after professor Snape called her an "insufferable know-it-all". For whatever reason, Hermione refused to help him with his homework that day.

Another incident came in the 4th year. "In his defense, your teeth were long before and it's hard to spot the difference when you-" Harry began to explain, but then Hermione started crying and Ron looked like he was going to kill him, so he shut up.

Ron and Hermione might have expected Harry to lose faith in professor Snape after he witnessed him leading the Death Eaters at Hogwarts and personally murdering headmaster Dumbledore with the Killing Curse. They thought wrong.

"You don't understand! Professor Snape and Dumbledore clearly planned this!" Harry continued defending the seemingly confirmed Death Eater and Dumbledore's murderer, Severus Snape. Everyone thought he was crazy, but that only made it all the sweeter when he was revealed to actually be right! Too bad everyone refused to acknowledge it just so they don't have to deal with Harry's smug attitude.

After Harry wanted to name their son Albus Severus Potter, Ginny files for divorce.
