actively making sure that people, who can't afford it, don't get the software
only offering your software as a subscription service
only offering a license that can be revoked at any point instead of the actual software.
Glad to be here. Can anyone give me a recommendation of a good VPN for p2p or should I get a vps and run my app from there? I used Vuze and utorrent back in the day and am out of the loop. Just tired of the 10 subscriptions these days and then my show ends up switching to a different provider that I don't have. Also, I'm boycotting Spotify and have my old iPod back out. Forgot how much I loved that thing!
if you'retech-savvy-: mullvad VPN, and a selfhosted seedbox using qbittorrent or deluge (both are FOSS torrent clients)
if you're not as tech savvy: protonVPN, (and their app suite with the "unlimited" package, its really good, and a good price for how much you get), plus qbitorrent.
and whatever you do.... MAKE SURE TO BIND THE CLIENT TO THE VPN INTERFACE

Subreddit got shut down by admins, and the discord (can't reach it sadly) is telling their users to come here :D
they were saying about cease and desist letter and that the server might be deleted in some time
Adobe thought it would be funny to send a cease and desist to Reddit and Discord which were our only two communities. We just switched to Lemmy and Revolt, and will setup a self-hosted matrix server in the future.
No idea what genp is about, but welcome!
Same. I refuse to go to reddit to get this question answered but if a refugee can do the needful that would be appreciated.

Yup, glad I grabbed it quick, saw the d in dbzer0 is division and got real lucky no one grabbed it. Luckily there are a lot of good potential usernames as this isn't as popular as reddit
