Hey everyone, i am recent graduate and soon I will be moving to bangaluru for my first job, I am currently in UP(Ghaziabad) I have a lot of questions and anxiety as I have never traveled so far before. I would appreciate if someone can answer them.

  1. What is preferred way to commute, as far as I have researched Buses seem to be best way as auto charges too much. Do Ola, Uber & rapido accept cash?

  2. And i don't know Kannada at all, I can speak decent English but I do not have practice with it. Will it be difficult to communicate with native peoples?

  3. Are there any decent PG in Brookefield? I will be staying for first one month with relative and then try to get a PG in Brookefield as my office is there.

Some that I have found in Gmaps, that seem decent are

  • Greeshna luxury pg for gents
  • Little wood co-live deluxe PG
  • SVB luxury PG for gents

  1. Buses are more common but they tend to get crowded. Ola, Uber accepts cash, I always use UPI for convenience. Another option might be to get a bike if that's possible.
  2. If you are travelling in a bus it might be hard till you learn to understand some common words. You can manage in Hindi
  3. This, I have no idea

Thanks a lot.

I am trying to find pg near office so I can just walk to there and avoid the transport at all.

That will save you a ton of time, I travel to whitefield sometimes and the traffic is hell.

The best commute depends on point to point. While buses are good, they may not connect all points. There is metro to many places now. Uber ola and rapido accept cash but it may be difficult to book a ride during peak times. Best is to stay close to office. Hindi works for most part. Moreover in Brookfield locals will be a mix of Telugu Tamil and Malayalam along with Kannada folks. Shop keepers are mostly malayalis or marwaris. So Hindi should work. There are a bunch of new PG that have come up behind Bgamane Solariam city in the Ekya ITPL school road. You can check that out. However nearest bus stop from that point is around 750 Meters. Since the PG is newly constructed it might slightly be better.
