I block every bot I see.
Bots discourage human participation. They may add content, but they don't cause discussion.
Regardless of the messed up links, I think the bots are bad for the sub in general. They're consistently the lowest voted posts and add very little to the community, imo.
But I particularly hate the type of tunes they post, so maybe I'm not representative of the community and people would rather have more content rather than less but more curated content.
I would go with banning the bots.
At this point it's easier to just subscribe to the relevant YT channels. No point to going to Lemmy see mainly their activity (with text URL links and no thumbnails no less).
Also think they do more harm than good by now. Was nice to see some new dnb posts everyday but the messed up links and not being able to reach the ones charge of it, should be enough reason to stop the posts appearing here.
On another note was nice to see the interaction you can get over the fediverse. The posts were made from mastodon into and by adding @drumandbass@lemmy.world as a group it popped up here. I guess formatting is a hickup that can happen this way but in general seeing the idea of federation and connection between different servers working is great.
Nah, keep the bots as they are.
