I'm sure it was on ao3 - Hermione is a Malfoy that was kidnapped (but presumed dead) as a child.

Sirius Black was her Godfather, and could feel that she was still alive, but wasn't believed, and her going missing, and assumed dead, is what drives Lucius to stay with the death eaters and becomes the man he is.

Cold, unforgiving.

I'm sure it was a Theomione :)

Also open to other Hermione is a Malfoy fics but that one I've lost and really want to reread
