Seattle didn't have the advantages and help from bettman to come out of the expansion hot like vegas.
You're retooling because you haven't found a core group to take you deep in the playoffs.
And that you're on the outside of playoff position, yeah management is clearly saying they aren't going to make it. So sell high and draft players.
Yeah, that makes sense. I was hoping that playoff run 2 years ago was a good sign, but I guess not. Still, I feel like a core was building and Tanev was definitely part of it. Here's hoping the managers & coaches know what they're doing.
