Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

The same reason Regan never put back up the solar panels Carter had installed.

What do you mean "never put back"

They dont uninstall themselves between adminstrations. Its an intentional act to remove them.

This is so stupid. Its the definition of government waste.

Didn’t they just order 400 million with of armored cybertrucks?

Edit: seems it’s million, not billion

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 7 points 14 hours ago

That was 400 million. It looks like they are denying it, but there's still a procurement for 400 million of "armored electric trucks". https://checkyourfact.com/2025/02/18/fact-check-state-department-400-million-worth-tesla-trucks/

No, that was canceled after they were publicly called out. We need to stay vigilant

It wasnt canceled they just renamed it to “armored electric trucks” iirc

Which means that other companies at least hypothetically can bid.

Hey bud, fuck off. The best way to fight fascism besides literal warfare is to shine a light directly on its shittiness. This change in wording may seem small, but we need to fight the changes that are coming tooth and nail. Condescendingly discouraging all nonviolent resistance by acting as if it's useless/hopeless is a great way to make violence inevitable.

Hmmm, does Elon know? He'll lose direct connect info from all those vehicles.

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I doubt he’ll mind, considering he’ll buy the assets for pennies on the dollar.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 4 points 21 hours ago

I thought they won’t even buy back their own vehicles anymore.

Sounds like a great opportunity for someone to take up!
