Yeah! Just because a racist, fascist douchebag does a seig heil doesn't mean you should tell obvious big mean old lies about him being a Nazi!

You tell those woke mind virus victims, Joe!

I'm noticing that being a "man's man" seems to correlate with being a bootlicker.

[–] ElcaineVolta@kbin.melroy.org 65 points 1 week ago

an entire ideology totally deaf to irony.

[–] SoftTeeth@lemmy.world 41 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Anti intellectualism and submitting to fascist authority both align with machismo culture.

Moat of them have been trained from a very young age by their religious leaders to beleive anything without proof and that malice is the most effective and moral way to obtain dopamine.

And extreme toxicity to the point that it drives everyone away from them so they just start with some Olympic level mental gymnastics to explain why it's not their fault people hate them.

Nazi sympathizer = Nazi

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 111 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Keep doubling down, you fucking jackasses. Rest of the world is watching.

[–] Vent@lemm.ee 41 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Key word is "watching". They're more than happy to have an audience as long as they get what they want. And they do and they are.

When your podcast accepts Nazis on your show ... your show is Nazi propaganda

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 38 points 1 week ago

More accurately, when your podcast accepts nazi's on your show... and you let them go off on rants and you don't push back on them... your show is nazi propoganda.

It's perfectly reasonable for a show to have horrific people on.... so long as they loudly are showing "No that is bullshit, here's why that is bullshit!".

I still can't for the life of me figure out why anyone gives a shit about what Joe Rogan says. We need to stop giving monumentally stupid people such large platforms.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 30 points 1 week ago

I can't either, but he helped swing the election.

if you still have spotify, please cancel it.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 30 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes, I guess at this point Spotify is a pro-Nazi business.

Can always count on Joe Rogan to be the smartest man in the room when he’s alone.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 69 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I don't know, I think he may be the first person to ever be stupider than himself.

Joe Rogan is a meathead.

Close your eyes and imagine a meathead.

That's Joe Rogan.

Only a fool would listen to what Joe Rogan has to say because only fools listen to meatheads.

Unfortunately, we live in an age where meatheads are idolized by millions of people. Because our educational systems have failed. Because many, if not most, humans were simply not ready for the internet.

[–] HeadfullofSoup@kbin.earth 26 points 1 week ago

Hmm i have the feeling it's start with a N

[–] paraphrand@lemmy.world 46 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He’s not hitler. He’s just a nazi.

I feel dumber just having read that. Apparently pointing out that someone made a Nazi salute is covering for the fact that .... checks notes ... you're an asshole. The fact that this village idiot is popular is truly a damning indictment of America.

[–] SwampYankee@mander.xyz 30 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 27 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

And does Nazi salutes in public. And supports "Tommy Robinson", leader of the UK's stupidest far-right thugs. And was praised by his own father for returning to his Nazi roots.

[–] IndieGoblin@lemmy.4d2.org 28 points 1 week ago

These people play the "left is always over reacting" but they would carry water for Elon no matter how damming the evidence. They've shown they don't care about evidence or reality its all vibes to them.

I wanna see a cage match between Joe Rogan and Alex Jones where they beat the hell out of each other while ~~debating~~ screaming incoherently.

[–] TimeSquirrel@kbin.melroy.org 14 points 1 week ago (3 children)

I mean, Rogan does have a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He'd pulverize ol' beet-faced Jones. Jones just kind of always looks like he's ready to have a heart attack in the next five minutes.

Joe Rogan is such a disappointment. Dude lost his mind during COVID.

[–] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 22 points 1 week ago (6 children)

Hey hey now - let's not forget that he got famous in the first place on the garbage pile that was fear factor.

Why do people waste their time with this boneheaded enabler?

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 20 points 1 week ago

The only advice I ever took seriously from Joe Rogan was when he was still just doing comedy on stage and literally said "I am an idiot. Nobody should listen to me."

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 18 points 1 week ago

Joe is operating in bad faith here.

Q: At what point can we call a spade a spade and they'd agree?

A: Never

Even if we were literally rounding Jews up into boxcars and shipping them off to be killed in ovens, the republicans would be like "OH, SO WE JUST CALL EVERYONE NAZIS NOW".

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

So, this whole dynamic is very simple: If you’re defending a Nazi, you’re a Nazi.

That's giving Joe way too much credit. Goebbels was evil, but he was also smart.

Yeah, remember when people would say that qons could be literally goosestepping for their orange dickhead (or someone else standing in for the same role they are so very thirsty to worship) and they'd still be gaslighting about it?

The real president just threw Nazi salutes, and here we are...

The sad part of that analogy is, eventually, there is a wolf.

  • Nazis exist.
  • People have overused the term to its detriment.
  • So when real Nazis appear, they can no longer be recognized.

The parable works for both groups: those who call foul in bad faith or too much & those that don’t listen to legitimate warnings. Both groups make mistakes in the end. The boy and the town lose their collective sheep to wolves.

I don’t know what evidence these people would need to see in order to have their world view challenged. I feel like if Musk was at a Nazi rally while talking about how apartheid benefited his family, people would still find a delusional way to not see what is so obvious.
