The thing some US empire managers dislike about him is the only thing I like about him: that he makes the US empire a less effective evil because of how much less hidden he keeps the inner workings of the machine. The hood stays popped open the entire time, showing the whole world how the imperial sausage gets made.

The fact that Trump got reelected kind of disproves the thesis in this article. Trump admitting that he/the government is evil apparently makes people want to vote for him.

Imperialism is something that benefits the population in the Imperialist countries. Being naked and honest about how the US plunders the Global South sadly doesn't do much to help people oppose it from an election standpoint.
