I've just started learning Cymraeg on Duolingo, but I have a question. Should I try and use a Welsh accent when I'm speaking the language, or would it be better to use my English accent (which is sort of casual RP with a hint of Northumbrian)?

I mean I'm not a Cymraeg speaker but you should always try to learn an accent when learning a foreign language!

Makes sense. Thanks!

Odds are that you’ll have a non-native accent anyway. Generally, it’s a good idea to reduce it as much as possible in order to be easily understood.
