Deceive. Inveigle. Obfuscate.

(That’s a deep cut, wonder if anyone got it.)

At the risk of making a fool of myself (as is tradition). Deceive, inveigle, obfuscate is DIO. "You expected a social movement to reform / replace the US's weird healthcare system, but it was me, DIO!"

It's a reference to an X-Files episode, one of the few where they swapped out the 'Trust No One' text in the opening credits.

BUT... I like the way you think!

"Inveigle" I learned a new word today, thanks!

I stg every time UFO Reddit gets worked up, it ultimately has the most mundane explanation which everyone forgets as soon as the next thing comes up.

At this point it's pretty clearly a way to distract the rubes

Is OP suggesting that the drone sightings are a mass conspiracy to distract us from our collective rage at the healthcare industry? Pretty sure the drone stuff in NJ started picking up before the UHC shooting even happened.

The mass media coverage didn't happen til the UHC thing

Ah okay, I see what they’re saying. That makes more sense.

Eh, I'd say it picked up, it was already in the news, and the sightings have been spreading and only recently have federal agencies gotten involved.

Edit: autocorrect aneurysm

I’m not suggesting the mass media coverage of things that are super clearly airplanes and helicopters yet the journalists give it a “I can’t see the American livery, run the same story again!” is clearly bad faith journalism to try to drown out support for a class war, I’m saying that’s what it is

I watched a clip from some local news outlet the other day, where they spent like 10 minutes talking to these concerned citizens, and at the end they said that these people they'd been talking to hadn't even seen a drone! They were just very concerned.

WTF!
