Yeah but all Google needs to do is back up a dump truck of cash to Mar A Lago, and he'll forget all about whatever it was he didn't like about Google and immediately start tweeting how he's the bigliest fan of all the very good things Google is doing, so I'm going to skip the breath holding bit.

How? Chrome is mostly chromium. They don’t sell Chrome, it’s free and they contribute to the project for free.

This would be so good. As someone who fully switched to Firefox on Android I hate that chrome webview is a thing.
Closest without rooting is to "uninstall updates" to the chrome app in the menu which makes it "APK Stub" instead of Chrome, ans then disabling Android Webview.
