You missed the best bit. “Access all ETFs and 300+ shares traded on the ASX, brokerage-free Invest in any ASX-traded ETF – whether from Betashares or other managers – and over 300 ASX shares, with zero brokerage.”

I’ll check out the fine print later.

hrmm? you mean the free ETF brokerage? that bit has been around for about a year now (since betashares direct was released), the new feature released today is ASX traded shares with zero brokerage

The PDS suggests approx 0.4% pa fees

Nah just don't use the Managed or Custom Portfolio features, that appears to be in line with Raiz, just use it to buy the shares/ETF's directly

Watch out for the fees on the whole portfolio of something like 0.4% pa

I think you've misread, the fee's are on Managed or Custom Portfolio features

There are low monthly fees if you use the Managed or Custom Portfolio features (see below for more information). Interest income received by Betashares in respect of the cash balance held in your Betashares Direct account is retained by Betashares. This amount is not deducted directly from your account. Refer to the PDS for more information.

That's what I get for skimming the fees section of the PDS
