I'd love a reboot of Tombs and Talismans, same premise... kinda.

Do folks have a preference for a hosted video file, as opposed to a YouTube link?

I'm surprised this many people saw this. When I posted this on the solarpunk aesthetic comm it got basically no engagement, but that was YouTube. I wanted to see if I could post this way as opposed to directly to youtube so I could try that in the future and see if that worked better, since YouTube stuff I've posted rarely gets any engagement like it does on reddit

Try PeerTube. It's basically YouTube in the Fediverse.

That'd be great for rehosting videos without size limits, but I'm mostly just concerned with what people on lemmy wanna watch, or is a good experience to watch via lemmy

It also feels a bit uncool to rehost other people's videos on peertube where it'd be attached to a channel and could build a following that doesn't benefit the people who originally made the stuff 😅 That doesn't feel as true with something like a normal image hoster that allows videos
