I didn't watch the video, but what's the problem with the quoted part? People associated with protests got their bank accounts frozen, so monero indeed seems like a protection for oneself in such situations?

Ah, got it. Yeah, that's weird. Just find the people blocking the roads and remove them to jail. If they're actively blocking roadways they should be pretty easy to find. No need to bring the financial system into it is my opinion.

It sort of sounded from my second quoted section like he was saying "covid" in quotes to mean that the people trying to communicate information about the disease were lying, and that to be safe medically, you needed to listen to him instead of to them. There's a lot of dead people who took that type of advice, so I'm not real sympathetic to it.

I'm extrapolating a little bit since I haven't really looked into what he's saying, so maybe that's unfair, but that's my guess for what he's saying + my reaction to it.

Not sure if you noticed but the state tried to use force, coercion, and deception to criminally inject everyone. So "feel free not to get them then" is an idiotic statement.

That guy, the "Health Ranger" is a frequent Alex Jones guest, conspiracy theorist, and kook. Anything he is associated with I would run as far away as possible. Crypto is close enough to a scam, and associating with people like this isn't helping its image any.

@nukeworker10 This is the sad fact for Monero. Our attempt to fulfill the design goals of "Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash", are mungled with "Internet Gold" (it isn't) and NFTs.

I'm grateful that conspiracy theorists *haven't* latched on to Monero en masse; it's a ripe target. Unfortunately.
