Let's just watch none of them work on movements for ranked choice voting or other alternative voting systems and then tell me to throw my vote out again in four years.

That's the third party electoral cycle.

Gotta beg for donations every 4 years

Isn't this considered Russophobia on .ml?

[–] LemmySoloHer@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago

On top of that, they also completely ignore the real meaning of Russophobia which is the fear of movies directed by the Russo brothers.

In Mexico, AMLO was a professional presidential candidate until he won.

Dear Green Party voters: the fascists thank you. The Palestinians those fascists will kill don't thank you.

Green party voters had no effect on the results... Even if every one of them had voted for Harris in every swing state she still would have lost them all (the ones that have been called anyway, and they were enough for him to win)... This loss lands squarely on the Democrats shoulders, they are the problem, not the green party

Are there no actual Green Party people in the US? People who actually care about climate change and will get rid of the Russian stooge currently calling the shots. It just seems weird that she pops up every four years and melts away whilst doing absolutely fuck all to advance the agenda her supporters should care about.

There are only 2 presidential parties in America. Republican and Democrat. Any party that gains traction outside of those two only serves to disrupt one party in favor of the other.

Are there people in favor of a Green Party? Of course. But the Green Party is a scam to get republicans elected.

A legitimate Green Party might exist at the local level, in some places. (FWIW, the only local Green Party person I know is a crank. Even so, I'd be surprised if he was stupid enough to vote for Jill Stein.)

Green party used to be associated with Ralph Nader, whose famous achievement was getting seatbelts installed into every automobile in the United States.

The Green Party platform is strictly anti-environment. Anyone who has a high-school level science education understands that and votes accordingly.

Not really, no. Every Green I have ever seen in the US is either a Russian stooge or batshit insane (or both).

I always forget she exists until the election cycle comes around.

As she hangs up her kefiyah for another 4 years

I still really liked Howie Hawkins in 2020. I wouldn't have voted for him, but I felt like he would have been a good candidate. Idk why they went back to Stein (although that was probably good as it likely led to fewer people voting for them).
