I don't even get why people buy pets. The shelter has plenty who need a good home and will love you the same.
Because the last dog I rescued cost me $7k in vet bills and needed to be put down a month and a half later due to health issues anyway. We had him just long enough to get attached. Then i spent all night with him puking up more blood then i thought he could have in him.
If I buy a puppy from a breeder I know it's genetics and can make sure it doesn't have pre existing conditions from abuse.

They already exist. I think they are called tyjres or something similar.

People are being urged not to buy the feline equivalent of XL bully dogs, which have been created by breeders in the US.
Maybe they originated in the US, but I don't recall reading about an XL Bully mauling someone in Europe, other than numerous reports from England. The fact that this type of cat is becoming popular, just because it resembles their hideous canine cousins, is pretty telling.
