All those low battery warnings. It really seems to be about small margins for success eh :)

Those warnings have been so common in Ukraine drone footage that I suspect it's wrong and a result of mismatched batteries from what the firmware expects and/or added/modified equipment on the drone (like a bomb?) wired into the battery in a way that changes the resistance reading or whatever the battery warning is using to deem it 'low battery'
Sort of like how the "flashlight on" message constantly pops up with drones that drop grenades. They're not turning on a flashlight, the wires that send the voltage to turn on the light have been rewired to a solenoid or something that mechanically releases the grenade. When they push the flashlight button the bomb drops. They just never bothered to mess with the drone firmware to suppress that on screen message about a flashlight.
The betaflight low battery warning is voltage based. It looks like they're using the default "low voltage" and "land now" thresholds which only matter if you don't want to damage the batteries.
For what it's worth, my DJI drone flashes low battery around 20% and given the altitude these drones are flying at I wouldn't be surprised if easily more than half of the battery was consumed just getting up there.
The spy craft in me thinks it could also be a false reading to hide the drones true operational range.

That's what I would have suspected because most of the videos show the low battery message. But that would necessiate meddling with the firmware or adding something to falsify the voltage readout, which would add extra work, but maybe it would be worth it to conceal the distance to the takeoff location where probably the ground station is nearby.
1,2 billion dollars 😳
That's roughly what the Führers palace in Sotchi costed.
