Byron Murphy TD pass, you love to see it

Yeah if we could get a stop, that'd be nice.

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Okay fuck these refs that was uncatchable. This is some fucking bullshit.

Hold on...is Brooks going to drag our offence back from the dead?

[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Brooks and Worthy, pulling more than their fair share of the offense tonight it seems

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

We are not Worthy. Guy's got that extra gear!

Is struggling against Wyoming at home more or less embarrassing than struggling against Boston College on the road?

[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

If we lose, more embarrassing. But then the narrative would be that Wyoming is the spooky good G5 team this year.

If we win, not as embarrassing. Boston College almost lost to Holy Cross last week. It shouldn't have even been possible for FSU to play down to that level.

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Completely agreed. I do think Wyoming are going to shock a team or two this season, even if it isn't us knock on wood.

[–] nurple@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, margin of victory/defeat matter with respect to that. Home is usually worth +3 points over a neutral site, so any win by 3 or less is de facto ugly.

I've seen enough ugly home wins against mediocre G5 teams (e.g. Tulsa) that I'm kind of numb to them now

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Honestly, Wyoming is probably significantly better than BC, so I think us Longhorns (if we win) are safe from being the most embarrassing story of the week. Just gotta put some points on the board this drive.

[–] nurple@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Between this, the BC/FSU game, Georgia mostly phoning it in against SCAR, Bama struggling against USF, and Tennessee getting romped by UF there were a lot of embarrassing games today.

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I was thinking the exact same thing. How the fuck does a team almost lose to an opponent that was nearly knocked off by Holy Cross?!

[–] nurple@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Looks like Colorado is considering adding another embarrassment to the pile.

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] nurple@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Looks like it’s tied up again. When I made that post CSU had just run a Colorado fumble back for a TD and was up.

Okay, this string of scores is allowing me to breathe a little bit. You can never count Wyoming out (or underestimate Texas's ability to choke), but at least now I don't have to be so on edge

Ewers is incredibly lucky that pass wasn't intercepted in the end zone. Bad bad throw. Do not like that.

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Is our secondary just bad?

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, really not good. Doesn't help to have bad calls go against us as well

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Glares at Yormark and his fucking bs comments

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Yo what the hell is this spot? He was out at like the 12...

[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Okay, giving up a 62-yard TD run on Wyoming's opening drive... Not ideal, although I'm sure my coworker who's a Wyoming alum is happy

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

What the fuck are we doing?

Not our best, that's for sure. I respect Wyoming and they've played really well, but we have made bad mistakes so far.

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh so now they get bailed out from a false start?! Jfc refs go fuck yourselves.

[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, sucked that got reviewed. Wyoming getting real lucky on this drive...

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I think Yormark called some favours in. Congress need to look at this shit.

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Uggh, we cannot afford injuries to our offensive line. I really hope that's not a serious one

[–] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Wow. What the actual fuck is going on? It's like the receivers' gloves are coated in butter.

Should be the last game on the LHN and I say good riddance. So hard to get these games
