Works been going great. I work as a welder and it's a bit slow right now. Several of the ships in port are getting ready to head out and don't need any more weld repairs. There's a few ships waiting to come in, and when they do work will pick up.

In the meantime, I'm spending this paid downtime to work on my D&D campaign. Our first game is this upcoming weekend and I'm stressing over the little things I might have missed. Over'preparation and all.

ChatGPT has been a life saver. It's not writing the campaign, but it is filling in the small details that would take weeks or months to write. Plus I can edit whatever ChatGPT spits out if it's not quite right.

It’s 4AM and I’ve been awake since 2. 🤬. So glad it’s Thursday. Overall the week has been uneventful. My best friend whom I met 30 years ago in college and I are meeting up for lunch Saturday. I haven’t seen her in about three years (5 hours apart) and shes going to meet my pre-teen niece who has been living with me the past two years. Super excited!!

Extremely tiredly. Also no more physical therapy, have to go to my primary and get a new scrip. Which is time consuming. Husband's hypochondria caught up him and forced me awake in the middle of deep sleep to deal with so I'm snappy which is bad of me. I decided to make chili for breakfast and I'm just waiting for the rice to finish cooking. Mother's cat is still here, and she is being rude to my cat, but loving to me so I keep trying to tell her to stop being a whappy cat bastard. Enjoying the Maji Market in Palia but it really needs to have more games per hour. Only 2 is...stupid.

Tell us more about breakfast chili.

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It is very bad chili. Jar of sauce, two things of canned beans, can of dice tomatoes with jalapeños, some browned ground beef. Seasonings on it of "what I remembered because very tired" and then I make rice and put my portion over rice. Husband doesn't like it over rice, so no rice for him. Sometimes if I'm not tired, diced onions, diced garlic. I need more onions though.

Doesn't sound very bad. Sounds like a good, easy comfort food, especially if it's chilly.

It is very much comfort food. Hence why I'm on a second bowl! Then maybe I'll try and get more sleep. I do not think the cats will allow this.

Small angry rant time, because I am furious.

Just had to submit proof of ID for a job application using the front camera of my tablet. How the FUCK am I supposed to get a clear image of my ID in some shitty small window on a Web browser where I have no control over camera focus, and have a shitty tablet camera anyway?

I can't use my phone camera, I can't email an image of my ID, I can't upload a pre-taken image, and there is no alternative given. I literally cannot get a non-blurry image of my ID. It's a complete fucking joke. I submitted it anyway and it will be rejected because it's a blurry mess.

I won't be able to move forward with this application because of this stupid bullshit. Backwards way of ID verification, this isn't 2005 anymore.

Seems crazy indeed

it's stressful. I'm preparing to move but need to travel the days before. i also don't know where I can park my car at the new place because there's a queue to parking spots. every day at work is a potential "international incident" waiting to happen but we're still just doing business as usual. I can't get myself to exercise even though i already paid for the membership. I spend all my free time doing nothing and then feeling bad about it.

[–] Servais@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 2 months ago

Sounds stressful, when is the move planned?
