How Kadyrov got his hands on a Cybertruck is a bit of a mystery. According to the man himself, it was given to him as a gift by Musk, a claim he made in August and has repeated since.

But the Tesla CEO has denied this version of events in offensively-worded terms. Responding last month to a journalist's tweet criticizing him for supposedly making the gift, Musk wrote, "Are you seriously so retarded that you think I donated a Cybertruck to a Russian general?" Thanks for the clarification, Elon.

Yes, Elon. I think it’s quite feasible you did.

Its also possible that the Chechen war criminal who works for the Russian war criminal known for disinformation campaigns is making shit up.

I dont like defending Elon but this is Giant Douche vs Turd Sandwich.

Regardless of the circumstances and if it's true, it's good to know that they can disable your car whenever they want. In all reality it was probably just because the cyber truck is a train wreck of a vehicle.

Tesla announced they can do this before they even announced the price of the cybertruck. As part of the buyer agreement, there is a stipulation that the original buyer can't sell the cybertruck until one year after getting it, and that breaking the agreement could result in the vehicle being remotely deactivated.

Honestly, that's probably what happened here, it was probably less that Elon personally deactivated it, but that it was sold to an intermediary, who then broke the Tesla agreement by "selling" it within the first year, getting it remotely disabled. Alternatively it may have just been a stolen cybertruck, which probably get it deactivated as well.

The dude is obviously lying about the cyber truck and where he got it.

It's like a brag that he's showing he has this American vehicle, that he's turned into a fighting machine to use against America's proxy, and it's even more of a brag to suggest he got it directly from Elon Musk as a gift of honor.

I don't know if Elon is really stupid enough to give a vehicle to somebody under sanctions, maybe he did. Maybe he didn't. I would bet that he did not. I would bet that the Cyber truck was gifted to someone else or purchased legitimately by someone else, and then given to this general or possibly even stolen by the general, and claimed it as a gift, because you know how these delusional "war lords" are.

This is attributing a level of competence to Apartheid Lonnie that isn't warranted at all. Pretty sure it's just his "efficient" (read: shit) QA again.
