Some owners have noticed that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will sometimes not register corner screen taps, like when trying to close Gboard...

That's interesting since my pixel 6a has one specific corner that doesn't detect shit.

I remember hearing about this on older models as well. It's likely a software issue.

Pixel 9 is first with adaptive touch sensitivity I bet the setting is related

I have pixel 7 and it always takes 3 or 4 taps in the corners for it to register my touch
