It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

Look, I love micromobility vehicles, and skateboards are no exception, but going 40+ mph on a skateboard in the real world seems objectively stupid. If anyone disagrees, please enlighten me.

Agree. Wheels are too small. Any sort of issue and your face is cheesegraded against the asphalt.

On a known, smooth course, though? Sign me up!

Yeah, and for how much money people lay down for their micromobility devices, very few of them seem willing to put down the $20 for a Walmart helmet, much less a $100+ helmet from a reputable brand.

Closed course would be good. Something I can slide on in kneepads if/when I eat shit.

It's OK I put my hands down to catch myself, broken wrist / collar bone can't be that that bad....

Same with one wheels. Anytime I see someone on one of those, I feel like they are one moment from disaster.

I see those and just imagine how the slightest obstacle would make them faceplant at full speed. I hope they are careful.

The super fat tire handles potholes/etc really well really well apprently. People bunny hop them and go off short drops with no issue.

Many of them have a suspension and can climb up steps with a good rider

More idiots racing around footpaths barely in control but thinking they're invincible is the last thing we need

You can be an idiot with anything, even shoes!
