He's not wrong. The amount of information people share publically is insane, and all the focus is on how the big tech companies abuse it and not how inherently dangerous it is to begin with.

I completely agree, but I don't think any sane person is advocating against corporations abusing public info, since it's... well... public.

The problem is when they try to abuse private info not shared online (just saying private info is not enough, because people are stupid enough to share that online, too).

I don't know why people have to post everything. If I'm on a beautiful vacation, the last thing I think about is posting the photos I took.
