When they realized the benefits of lobbying AIPAC split off from its mothership and was able to avoid foreign agent registration requirements.

Officially they are just Jewish Americans lobbying for genocide state due to religious connection or some shit.

In practice, they just do iaraels bidding. They should be forced to register and they should lose their tax exempt status. This getting into national security risk territory. We literally using American good will or whatever left of it to sponsor foreign stage doing a genocide.

Some how state department sees no wissue here... Clown fucking world.

There’s a huge Chinese diaspora that could be used to fund a PAC that advocates for China’s interests.

Yeahno, that’s ridiculous. The Chinese diaspora is hardly in step with the China. Have you met these people? Over 20% of San Franciscans are Chinese, and virtually none of them care about the interests of the Chinese state.

This kind of nonsense is how we ended up with Japanese internment camps during WWII.

You only need a few to funnel a bunch of money to an organisation like this, it's not like AIPAC is super popular with American Jews either. I was using China as an example, but any country could basically do it. You could take India as another example, Modi definitely has his share of fans abroad.

It’s been super popular with Zionist American Jews. It’s also popular with the vastly larger number of non-Jewish Zionists. Quite a bit of this is coming from Christian conservatives. AIPAC Not Just for Jews Anymore

any country could basically do it.

Not really: the US would shut it down if it ran up against US interests enough. But Israel doesn’t run up against US interests; it’s in line with them. Israel is the US’ unsinkable aircraft carrier in West Asia. As Biden has said throughout his career, “Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interests in the region.” A lot of this money and influence is coming from the US military-industrial complex.

Israel isn’t a case of the tail wagging the dog. It’s a symbiotic relationship.

Yeah the headline really undersells it.

The photo of Bush used in the AIPAC mailers was taken from a Missouri Independent article. In the mailers, part of Bush’s forehead has been photoshopped and appears sloped. The photos are also color altered.

They've taken her forehead back and her jaw out. To make her look like a monkey. It's an attempt to tie into racist stereotypes visually instead of verbally.

I mean I read that too, but I can't see it. They need to put one on top of the other and draw some lines or something.

Edit: oh I just realized that the one on the left is the altered one. So the lighting is worse, not better. Maybe due to printer. Still can't see the chin or forehead differences

Maybe I struggle with facial recognition, but it would really help if they were the same sized image, at least
