Are fungi stalks considered wood?

No, fungi are not plants. They’re in a separate kingdom from plants, animals, bacteria, protists, and archaea.

I believe wood also needs to have cellulose which gives wood its strength.

We can still say that many fungi do live on morning woods. Infact if they happen to be on wood, they will probably stay there morning, afternoon and evening, the entire day 🌻

These appeared overnight and were gone a few hours after I took the picture, I believe as soon as the sun hit them.
