Is it actually Time Bandits if you're not casting little people though?

It's a good question. I wonder if they've over-thought it and felt it might be more... respectful not to include them but then they are being dine out of a job. I'm sure I saw an interview with the cast who said it was an important film for them as it raised their profile (as they had been in other films but under suits or prosthetics) and gave them work outside of panto season.
Yeah, the original wasn't exactly a flattering representation and their shortness was still played for comedic effect, but the actors got to play actual characters with personality, rather than just playing a leprechaun bit part or something.
I guess I'd be interested to hear what actual people with dwarfism from the time and today have to say about it.
Please don't suck. But casting some lousy friends cast off isn't a good start.
Taika Waititi & Jermaine Clement. I'm in!
