General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(

I don't think he'll get a say in the matter.

Cause he's so popular that I hear about him in my own country. Dude must be super awesome. Especially with young people. The ones living paycheck to paycheck especially love billionaires. GO RISHI GO (away).

I thought he was supposed to be going to the US. I can't see him staying if he loses bad.

It'll be interesting to see if he stays or goes.

Job prospects must’ve dried up

Why would he need one as a billionaire?

Dave said he would stick around regardless of the results of Brexit...

Yeah right. Sure. Absolutely. That's definitely going to happen.

He should just go now

"if the party loses the election". As if there was an "if" in that.

But I have to admit he is brave - he finally ran the Tory ship aground at flank speed ahead, and believes his party idiots will be thankful for getting unemployed. Good luck with that.

To be honest I think he'd make quite a good leader of the opposition with his schoolboy debating style. I don't foresee he'll be around for long though.

Doubt the party will let him stay tbh

It's actually a good idea for him to stay on for a bit. But first, he has to hold on to his seat...
