How about legalising it ffs.

It's not going away, but the abuse and violence can.

Fentanyl is legal. It’s being over produced and sold by the Sacklers to shady pharmacies who then distribute it to the final customer.

Drug markets.

Legalise drug markets.

Why are you being so facetious?

But yeah, the ironic part is that there are actual fentanyl lollipops, from the same country that fucking panics every autumn about "fentanyl laced candy".

Opiate abuse would go way the fuck down. Legalise all main recreational drugs. Legalise, educate, tax and regulate.

How am I being facetious? CDC says synthetic opioids are the highest cause of drug overdoses in the US. Making cocaine, pot and mushrooms legal isn’t going to help with shit if you don’t get the most addictive and deadly substance being pushed on people off the market. Pushed legally, through legal channels, then once you are hooked, gets worse with fentanyl on the street. And this was a story about Philly’s Kensington market? Where mainly fentanyl is sold and then just done right in the middle of the street, right? So again, how am I facetious?

They don’t want to shut it down. Either the cops are getting a cut or they have an understanding with the city to keep it all contained there.
