It's great, like Reddit but without the bollocks and only minor drama. I only chose it as a geographical preference, seems to have been a good shout though.

My only gripe at the moment - and it's not a FedditUK issue but a Lemmy issue in general - is the sheer amount of bot content of scraped Reddit content. It's frustrating to click a link only to be taken to Reddit. Fuck that noise.

@PhobosAnomaly it’s lazy and annoying. The posts don’t even get checked for quality.

I blocked the repost bot and it’s a bit better now

Really enjoying it here myself.

Love it with Alexandrite on desktop

https://alexandrite.app/feddit.uk

And sync on mobile.

Drop in, see some content, comment a little and then get on with other stuff. That api BS on the other place worked wonders for curing my doom scrolling. Said I would leave when my chosen app stopped working, stayed true to my word, and not missing it at all

I'm on Eternity. I was used to Infinity for reddit so the only change really was content.

Used to use Ininfity a while back but then moved to Joey, which hasnt come over. Will give Eternity a spy though

I've been playing with Eternity today, and yeah this is good. Think ill probably be using this going forward instead of Sync. Cheers for the heads up

I love it, I had a Mastodon account but I've yet to find an instance I'd call a home. With Lemmy it just fell into place here, defined what the Fediverse even is to me and why having these different instances is important.
