It'd be great if it was a critique of our intellectual property laws and culture of paywalls and platform-anchored content, but I doubt the NYT would publish anything like that

Very interesting article, and well-written.

TL;DR: There’s nothing new in art or music, but that’s been the case many times before, and it’s not a problem. It’s new to us, but we can work it out.
