Oh no. Great that the government abruptly cancelled the new ferries with no plan to replace these ones that keep having massive failures. This one is the only rail ferry too

Was it earlier this year the two ferries hit the dock in Wellington? We might expect a ferry uprising soon, they don't seem very happy.

Yup, Bluebridge and Interislander both had it happen about a week apart.

They seem to have cock ups around the same time as each other quite often, come to think of it. They both were down to one working boat each not very long ago.

"Funny" this is this is the exact thing that happened with that ship that brought down a bridge (Boston??) a few month ago. Just hit land instead of a bridge support

Sorta, that was a loss of propulsion, rather than loss of steering control.
