Saw a lot of criticism of this song harping on how generic and simple the riff is. And I agreed, it’s kind of Kublai Khan’s schtick. But they’re capable of more interesting rhythms, and I realized it was definitely an intentionally “low tech” rhythm. Brought me back around.
Oh, I've only seen positive reviews, from commentators!
Are they written up critics or video commentators, maybe you have seen both?
Feel free to share those that are critical!
I don’t know that I’ve ever heard someone call Kublai Khan “rock” before.
Ah, I got the tag from genius, hahaha
Would Metalcore or metal fit better?

"Low Tech" by Kublai Khan TX explores themes of feeling out of place in a rapidly advancing world, grappling with the expectations and pressures of society, and ultimately finding strength in embracing one's true self.

"Low Tech" sounds like Kublai Khan. It's heavy. It's got breakdowns. The riffs are down-tuned. Frontman Matt Honeycutt sounds like you tapped his shoulder in the middle of a deadlift set and he's gonna chase you across the gym to whoop your ass.
