To be clear, itβs legal and common especially because we donβt have any emissions standards enforcement. In my state, there is no test whatsoever, and even if youβre blatantly belching clouds of smoke it is 100% tolerated. Itβs a bizarre badge of honor among some hyper conservative residents to pollute as much as possible.

We had a tool for these blobs, it was called histogram. Looks pretty though.
You are missing the subtleties of this presentation that goes well beyond a histogram. This is a very nice layout that shows variability by month and decade.
