Or better nutrition. Hmm, what's the real reason behind acceleration. Who knows, right?
RTFA. Younger onset of puberty is associated with lower economic status, which means worse nutrition.
There's tons of factors more than just nutrition. Stress is a big one. My 9yo niece just got hers, and they've got plenty of money and eat well. Came shortly after they found out her dad is riddled with cancer all over his body.
i remember years ago an article said it was from eating pork (genetically quite similar to human) which had tons of hormones injected so they would grow up faster for more profit turnover. i wonder if theres puberty age data from groups that dont eat pork.
I mean you can probably find something for Muslims if you look at data from a Muslim majority country.
Good thing they're banning puberty blockers!
It's not talked about, but little girls who are getting their periods at nine years old probably should be given puberty blockers, at least for two maybe three years. Of course, I say this flippantly without having performed research into the long-term impacts of being on puberty blockers for one or two years and then going off of them.
It's a miserable thing to experience menstruation years before your peers do.
I can't imagine being responsible enough to deal with a period at age 9 to be honest.
And they're not. Imagine the embarrassing scenarios.
It was hard enough when I was 13, I can't even imagine!!
