/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ **8. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Worf hated it so much he went out for prune juice and never came back.

[–] negativenull@lemmy.world 25 points 5 months ago (1 children)

It's why he went to the DS9 hellhole.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 17 points 5 months ago (1 children)

He was hoping the Prophets would send him somewhere safe before Alexander caught up with him, but damn it!

[–] negativenull@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago (1 children)

He should have joined the Jem'Hadar on the other side of the wormhole.

[–] bored_boar_onboard@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago

Wait….do we know for sure if he ever left the Jem’Hadar interment camp?

Avoiding Alexander is also why he volunteered to Captain an experimental ship that can turn invisible.

Theme checks out and is taken up to 11 in Lower Decks:

As always, ASK FOR CONSENT BEFORE TOUCHING ANYBODY INCLUDING HUGS.

[–] VerticaGG@lemmy.blahaj.zone -1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Keep sayin it til we dont have to 🫶

3000 years later and people are still hugging each other .... sometimes they just never learn.

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 4 points 5 months ago

I wanna see a random background character give an unsolicited hug to a new alien species and just melt because the aliens basically have Rogue's power from the X-Men. If anyone works on Lower Decks and sees this: you're welcome. 😎

Worf secretly enjoys it. But he will Die With Honor before he shows it.

Which is funny because there’s quite a vocal minority(?) that gets absolutely bent and upset if you do that in real life.

Look up a video called "Tea and Consent".

Consent includes hugging.

So much of what popular media promoted in decades past (and still! Less but all the same) has failed to teach these lessons.

Take this seriously. Consensual touch is wonderful.

(No so funny after all)

Word went out for fresh gagh one day and ended up with a hottie near the gamma quadrant. Sorry, Alexander. It happens.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

The 4th one is cold, man. Why you gotta do Alexander dirty like that?
