Where we meme (joking in tone and detail, serious in sentiment) about General Sherman, the Civil War, and how the secesh traitors had it coming.

RULES

  1. No bigotry. The Union, or at least the part of the Union WE support, fought AGAINST that shite. We are anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-homophobic, anti-transphobic, and in general anti-bigot here, even if not all the lads in Union blue uniforms were.

  2. No Confederate sympathizing. Anti-democratic racist slaver traitors don't deserve shit.

  3. Follow all Lemmy.world rules

Sure sure, but my mind is alight with curiosity regardless. Which, if any, of those 3 flags has him most confused? They don't go together in the least. It looks like he got a game of rock paper scissors in his window

The confederate flag does not have ‘right out the bag’ wrinkles on it. So that’s probably the starting point.

Oh excellent catch! The other 2 were probably only up for as long as it took to take the picture

Nah, it has them, too. All three flags have creases.

To be confused by those flags, you need to have a functional brain that allows you to understand the contradictions. If yours is not functional or you don't have one at all, then there are no contradictions to make you confused.

In my experience, smart people are simply more adept at coming up with clever ways to rationalize the contradictions in their beliefs. You don't have to be stupid to be hateful.

No, you don't have to be stupid to be hateful. But you have to be stupid to join a hate group that hates you.
