Greetings fellow Switchers!

I have obtained a bigger SD card for my switch but I didn't not have enough space on my laptop to copy all the files from the old card. Is it possible if I connect both cards to the laptop and copy/paste everything to the new card?

Is it possible to copy only those files that are necessary to start the switch with the new card?

Thank you in advance!

Edit: I have file based emummc and not partitioned.

You can connect both cards up and copy over but it will be slow, doable but very slow. As for the other question, I don't know enough to be able to give an accurate answer.

With the games, THere is over 170gb of data to copy over. I figured it would take a while

If you want to keep all games that you have installed, you will need to copy over all the files to the new card. Also, if you have an emummc on your old card, you will need to make an emummc backup and restore it: https://rentry.org/EmuNANDNewSDcard
