Have we entered the era of peak fake?

instagrammers with enhanced images
fake bodies pumped full of Botox, fillers, steroids or maybe even all three.
scammers pretending to be someone else, even your own bank.
deepfakes
autotune and pitch correction.
so called live performances with pre recorded audio (yes Celine I'm looking at you)
people living their fake lives in social media making out it's better than it really is.
Politicians telling anything but the truth.

I reckon Celine gets a pass, she's got some serious shit going on and didn't know if she'd be able to sing.

I'm ok with the pre - recording, but don't say it's live when it's not. It was especially galling to find out even the pre recording has been pitch corrected.

Which is probably more common with recordings than I would care to know, but it's just shows how everything is so fake these days.

yeah, I saw a doco about Celine, she is so strong and brave to sing at the Olympics. And then she did it so beautifully, kudos and hugs to her

I think there more to come. People will use AI to generate art, music, writing, design and claim it as their own original invention. I guess that’s misrepresentation rather than fake, but there’s gonna be a flood of it.
