Solid YELLOW lines aren't illegal where I'm from. Insurance will use it to prove you're at fault, but it's not illegal.
Solid white are illegal here though.
Same with the off ramp yellow speed limit signs, not law. Just heavy recommendation.
Basically all yellow stuff here is highly recommended but now mandatory. Even bananas
