I (7+ years closeted to parents) made a comment about California's first hurricane in 80+ years, and she responded with something like,

Maybe it will wash out all the gays and wicked people

๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Really?! I didn't even know how to respond to that.

Also, somehow or another I guess it's gotta come out.

Sometimes people are just hateful. A Christian I worked with was always very forward and speaking of god at least once a day. I lived in Panama City Beach in 2018 when Hurricane Michael came through. The storm turned to the East at the last minute and PCB they had been told to evacuate (many evacuated into Panama City being it wasn't told to evacuated which is to the East). Base of the story, PC got hit harder than PCB. Several times I heard that coworker saying he hoped another hurricane came and hit PCB (where he lived as well) because he didn't believe the people there had learned "gods lesson."

He didn't care how many people lost their homes and jobs.

If hurricanes are punishment, Florida really needs to get their shit together, because they get it way more than the rest of the country. Same for Oklahoma and tornadoes.
