I wonder what the kill radius is if the pipeline bursts? Seems like that should be factored in. 700ft may initially sound like a lot when we're talking co2 but I remember the incident of a town dying when a lake "burped" a bunch of co2 which flooded the town and killed almost everyone.
That is insane. Which area was that? I wonder if the townspeople even noticed it coming
The only story that pops up is a pipeline rupture in Satartia, Mississippi. No fatalities, 46 people hospitalized. ~~Maybe OP is misremembering?~~
