GCNET: GameCube Network Adapter for Memory Card Slot

Recently, NeoStormer announced a new product named GCNET, which is compatible with all GameCube models that have a memory card slot. This innovative device aims to revive online and LAN gaming experiences on your original GameCube hardware.

  • Plug-and-play solution: No internal modification required for installation.
  • Broadband Adapter emulation: Allows enjoying online gaming without the authentic Broadband Adapter, at a lower cost.
  • 10BASE-T Ethernet connectivity

Compatible Games: GCNET supports a range of titles, including classics like 1080° Avalanche, Homeland, Jikkyō Powerful Pro Yakyū 10, Kirby Air Ride, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II and its Plus version, and Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution.

Pre-orders are soon to open, with a limited stock available.

How do you feel about the resurgence of online functionality on classic consoles like GameCube through such innovative solutions?

Oh, those would have to be on the same bus, wouldn't they? That's why that one memory card slot SD card adapter works, I was curious about that. I got both but I do prefer the serial port one where you can snap the cover back on.

Yes, the serial port, bba and memory card all share the exi bus, so from a software standpoint they can all be communicated with via the same bus interface ( but hardware commands/communication is hardware specific ofc ) For more info :
