Definitely! I’ve always been disappointed that Gerrard sings this in gibberish (or her own private language as she says), and not Latin, but it still sounds great!

Nice username!

Mentally, I sidestep the meaning issue by thinking,

spoiler"the lyrics are in a language unknown to humans, used by souls in Elysium" since parts of the melody and vocals start as Maximus is dying and the song starts after he has died.

It would be cool to hear a Latin version, though. I wonder how that would have changed how the song sounded and whether I would have enjoyed it as much.

Some interesting interviews:

Zimmer on working with Gerrard.

In an interview, she says that the words she comes up with are an automatic response to the music and each piece of music has its own language.
