Welcome to our virtual third place, The Café.

Come on in and make a new human connection over a cup of coffee (or Teh Tarik). This is a casual community, do whatever you want, share your oyen pics, your frustrations, and even organize a weekend picnic with the community. The world is your oyster.

Rules are simple, be kind and civil with each other. As with any other café, rude patrons will be kicked out.

Man, it's supposed to be a dry year, but Central Malaysia has been getting lots of rain. How are the northern states doing? I know some parts of Indonesia are having severe drought.

Penang island has both dams refilled to above 60% so rely less on water from mainland. Basically northern states aren't in drought mode.

This website showed dense hotspots and moderate haze on 20 Aug in parts of Kalimantan, so you're right about the last sentence.

Aye good to hear, though the dam level on the island is still concerning.
