Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Among the causes of infant deaths, one increased the most: congenital abnormalities, which increased 22.9% in Texas in children between 2021 and 2022, while they decreased 2.9% in the rest of the country. That trend suggests that at least in some cases, parents were forced to carry a pregnancy to term while knowing their children had little to no chance of survival, said Gemmill.

So if

  1. Conservatives think that abortion is murder

  2. and there are more infants dying

  3. but fewer abortions being performed

Doesn't that mean they should consider their infant mortality rate exactly the same as before?

edit: Cause, if the above is true, but their infant mortality rate is going up, we can draw a straight line between the decrease of abortions and the increase of infant deaths. Of course, Conservative feelings don't care about facts.

No, that’s to logical. They’ll spin the numbers to mean something positive for the party.

They'll just include them in the # of births category without pointing to survivability.

This is exactly it.

They’ll just spin it and it won’t matter because their voter base literally doesn’t care. They are incapable of critical thought, foresight, empathy, accountability, or generally any other positive human trait.
