Hello everyone,

Sorry if I may sound rude, but I'm trying to see if this instance is still actively managed.

I know a few weeks ago I asked about the update to 0.19.3, and it happened shortly after, so I guess Jonah still keeps an eye on here.

My questions are:

  1. Is there a backup admin in addition to Jonah?
  2. All of the moderators of !privacyguides@lemmy.one besides Jonah haven't been active for several months, is the community still moderated?

For the context, due to some issues with the lemmy.ml moderations practices (https://lemmy.one/post/15387031), some people were looking for an alternative to !privacy@lemmy.ml.

!privacyguides@lemmy.one seems like a nice option, but raised also the questions above.

why not just create a new community on an instance that is definitely still maintained?

Because !privacyguides@lemmy.one already has 15.8k subscribers. Much easier than to start from scratch.

What’s the point of ghost subscribers? If they’re no more active than the mods or admins, they may as well not exist.

If you really want to migrate, just post that your community is moving and do it.

!privacyguides@lemmy.one also has 2.22k monthly active users.

In comparison !privacy@lemmy.world has 1k mau, and !privacy@lemmy.ca has 317.

I posted three times to !privacyguides@lemmy.one in the last 2 days.

However, due to the fact that the community seems unmoderated, I now post to !privacy@lemmy.ca, 5 posts since yesterday.
