So you are not using Firefox?

If you actually are using Firefox, you need to provide more information.

What kind of computer are you running?

What operating system and version are you running?

What version of Firefox are you running?

When did the behavior start?

What have you tried to resolve it?

I am an IT technician, I am no speciallst on Firefox or even web browsers, but I will give you a free tip, try a reinstall of Firefox, and if you are on a different browser based on Firefox, get the real version of Firefox, then you can compare the two.

try a reinstall of Firefox

Try a different profile instead. Type about:profiles into the URL bar and hit enter. In there, you can create a fresh profile and launch it. It will be like a factory-reset Firefox, but you can switch back to your current profile, to get back to all your current configurations.

One more thing I remember now. I installed Gnome theme for FF. But that was 2 months ago. Then Theme was not rendering proparly and I removed it as per guide.. Facing issue from then, BUT It is on all gecko based and I removed .mozzila folder atleast thrice. SO,That should not be a problem.

I am using Arch Linux on 2gigs ram and core2duo (It used to work well on this some days ago). Arch is rolling release so arch linux 1. Firefox version 126.0. This behavior started a few days ago without any induction which I can notice. I have reinstalled firefox.Removed all extensions.Removed .mozzila directory.Tried gecko browsers(They all behave same way).Tried non-gecko browsers (They work fine). I use real version just tried others to see I face issue there or not.

Like as I am typing this after 30 minutes of browsing it is smooth but first 3 minutes feels like really slow on any gecko browser.

2GB ram and a C2D?

I think we have found the problem....

A raspberry pi has better specs than that.

If it has worked fine untill now, there was probably a new update that finally pushed it over the edge.

Get that computer to an antique dealer or let it rest in peace.

Even a used first get Ryzen would be faster.

I am sorry, but that is the reality of computing.

Ya probably Any update did all this. I didn't wanted but bye gecko, welcome blink.

Are you not able to get a better computer?

[โ€“] jaagruk@mander.xyz 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Ah, I am sorry for being rude, thank you for being blunt with the truth and giving me a reality check.

Fine dude.Btw any fix

Look I am out of RAM or CPU but hang is only for 3to5 minutes then it is normal. Probably it is a real bug. Also issue is not with ungoogled-chromium nor with palemoon

[โ€“] Achyu@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

welcome blink

Is blink better on your hardware?

[โ€“] jaagruk@mander.xyz 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Yup, ungoogled chromium is just fine. Thats why I think it is some issue and not hardware problem.

If so, I think it'd be cool if you filed a bug report, if possible.

Even if nothing happens immediately, it'll be documented and that's a start, right?
