Omg the wind. The barriers fell on the front wings of the cars. Live on F1TV.
Any one know how heavy those are? Hinchcliff made the joke about it buffing out and now I'm wondering if it may have dented the front wing
The bodywork on these cars does not dent. It's carbon, so either it breaks or it is fine.
Several years back Lewis showed how strong those front wings are by standing on his and sort of bouncing up and down.
F1 bodywork seems weak because of the forces involved when they crash at hundreds of kilometers per hour. But theyโre actually quite strong. If you think about it, that front wing is designed to handle a significant weight of air.
